SoCal Elite Connect 2019: the most prestigious student-led networking platform

As the most popular high-end social networking event among Southern California Chinese Students communities and young professionals, SoCal Elite Connect 2019 annual gala, hosted by USC Chinese Students and Scholars Association (USC-CSSA), held in Los Angeles Millennium Biltmore Hotel on Nov. 15th, attracts about 350 outstanding Chinese students from southern California universities and young professionals.

USC-CSSA  president Guyu (Andy) Zhang said in his speech: “CSSA has always dedicated our energy and resources to enriching the college experience for the thousands of Chinese students on USC campus, and SoCal Elite Connect is certainly one of our most successful traditions. It is truly an intellectually and morally challenging era to live in, and it takes all of our efforts to build and maintain a community that is filled with courage, diversity, inspiration, and love.”

Kejun (Coco) Chen, director of the event, sophomore econ/math student of business at USC, she said: “Throughout the 7 years, we have always aimed to present the most prestigious student networking platform in Southern California, and bring together all of the resources that we could gather to help mostly USC students to pursue their career aspirations. This year, we have over 50 professionals and USC alumni with us to share and speak about their experience. And I hope every student who is here tonight will depart with some kind of takeaways from talking with our guests.”

Mr. Milt Meler, a respectable SC alumnus who’s had a legendary career as a corporate finance executive and established Erma Lee Meler Family endowed scholarship for USC Rossier School of Education as a way of giving back to the SC community.
