Bernie Sanders hit the jackpot Saturday with a landslide win in the Nevada caucuses that gave him a commanding lead in the Democrats’ battle to take on President Trump.
With 43% of precincts reporting, the rumpled lefty was far ahead, winning 47% of the county convention delegates as he cemented his national front-runner status, with South Carolina voting next Saturday and delegate-rich Super Tuesday looming March 3.
Latinos joined the Sanders brigade in Nevada, the most diverse state to participate so far, giving him 51% of their votes, a vast tally in a seven-candidate race.
