Jinan enterprise alliance seeks international collaboration

Thirty key enterprises in Jinan, Shandong province formed an alliance on June 28.

The alliance will function as an exchange platform for enterprises to share resources and help more Jinan companies expand overseas.

The alliance will make use of enterprises’ overseas projects to promote Jinan’s investment environment, supportive policies and leading industries around the world.

It will also work to attract high-quality foreign companies dealing with products such as raw materials, accessories and services to invest in Jinan, as well as draw more high-end R&D projects and professionals.

The foreign trade volume of Jinan from January to May, 2020 reached 55.3 billion yuan ($7.81 billion), up 33.3 percent. This growth rate was the highest in Shandong province.

As of the end of May, Jinan has registered 562 overseas investment enterprises and made non-financial direct investment in infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, agricultural development and resource utilization in 93 countries and regions.
