DEMOCRATIC MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS NAMES MELISSA FOX A BLUE STAR RISING RECIPIENT
Longtime Member of DMO Melissa Fox Earns the Esteemed Organization’s Highest Distinction
IRVINE, CA – In a celebration of her commitment to serving her community on the Irvine City Council, today Irvine City Councilmember Melissa Fox was named a Blue Star Rising Candidate by the Democratic Municipal Officials (DMO), one of the organization’s highest distinctions.
The DMO is a national association of Democratic elected mayors, city council members, and other municipal leaders, with over 6,000 members. It is a constituency organization of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
DMO President Scott Benson released the following statement announcing their support for Fox’s campaign for Assembly District 68:
“The Board of Directors of Democratic Municipal Officials is honored to name Councilmember Melissa Fox a Blue Star Rising Candidate as she seeks a position in the California State Assembly. We know her to be a fierce leader who embodies Democratic values and a motivation to improve the well being of every resident of her district.”
In a statement responding to the honor, Councilmember Fox commented:
