STATEMENT FROM DCBA DIRECTOR RAFAEL CARBAJAL
Rafael Carbajal, Regional Consumer & Business Leader, Strongly Supports Biden-Harris Small Business Administrator Nomination
“The Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs congratulates Isabel Guzman on her nomination to become U.S. Small Business Administrator by President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Our department has worked closely with Ms. Guzman and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate on several impactful efforts including the Small Business Technical Assistance Expansion Program and most recently on the rollout of the PPE Unite program, which in partnership with the Los Angeles Small Business Development Center network, is currently distributing 5.5 million units of personal protective equipment at no cost to small business owners. We know firsthand how impactful Ms. Guzman’s efforts have been for small businesses in LA County and throughout California. We look forward with excitement and in solidarity as she advances to deliver that same level of excellence to help empower small businesses across our great nation.”
