Aaron Boone to receive pacemaker, taking medical leave from Yankees
| Aaron Boone was undergoing surgery to receive a pacemaker Wednesday afternoon and has taken an immediate medical absence from the Yankees. The manager had had open-heart surgery in 2009 and, in a statement, said he had been experiencing symptoms of lightheadedness, low energy and shortness of breath. He also expects to return to work in the next several days. |
