ORANGE COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS BACK JOE KERR FOR SUPERVISOR
Mission Viejo, CA – Today the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association announced its endorsement for Joe Kerr’s campaign for Orange County Supervisor. Retired Orange County Fire Captain Joe Kerr is running in the open-seat contest for the 5th Supervisorial District.
Todd Baldridge, President of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association, released the following statement announcing the endorsement:
“Joe would never describe himself this way, but he is truly a hero. He has put his life on the line to keep our neighborhoods safe, and his work has saved lives. In his decades of service to Orange County, as a firefighter, fire captain, and leader, Joe Kerr has made an indelible impact improving public safety. Joe is the right choice to help lead our communities on the Orange County Board of Supervisors.”
Joe Kerr is a second-generation professional firefighter who served with the Orange County Fire Authority and Orange County Fire Department for over 34 years, including 27 years as a fire captain. He was the first President of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association, the former Vice President of the California Professional Firefighters, as well as a former Vice President of the Orange County Central Labor Council (AFL-CIO).
