“Each day, we join families and friends mourning loved ones lost to COVID-19 and we keep all who are grieving in our thoughts and prayers,” said Barbara Ferrer, PhD, MPH, MEd, Director of Public Health. “Today, we also keep in our hearts the memory and sacrifice of the men and women in the armed forces that gave their lives for our country.  As many of us are gathering with family and friends observing Memorial Day today, we hope that you continue to gather safely and protect each other.”
