Communion vote puts spotlight on Hispanic Catholics

While Latinos are predominantly Catholic, there are divisions within different Hispanic communities on social issues like abortion. Younger U.S. Hispanics tend to be more liberal on the issue, as do U.S.-born Hispanics, while older and immigrant Latin American Catholics are more likely to support stringent restrictions on abortions.
