MONTEREY PARK, CA-East Los Angeles College received a historic donation of 15840 hand sanitizers valuing at over $300,000.00 making this one of the largest in-kind donations in ELAC’s history.
The generous donation by Los Angeles based SKINN Cosmetics. Clinically proven, SKINN offers small batched Lab Fresh® Formulations directly from their FDA Registered onsite OTC. SKINN believes in a clean, cruelty-free mindful approach to beauty that prioritizes natural ingredients without impacting performance. Strategically located in Los Angeles, the city known for its global access to innovation, trends, and treatments in the beauty, medical, and wellness space, this company offers the latest advancements in professional-grade cosmeceuticals transformed into at-home solutions.
Fortunately, the donation could not be timelier as the College prepares to re-open at the end of August. Many students, faculty and staff, and their families need sanitizers due to COVID-19 and the recent surge of delta variants. This donation could certainly help with the costs affiliated with such necessities.
ELAC Foundation Board member Gabriel Monares who was instrumental in securing the donation said “Thank you to the SKINN Cosmetics company and Joseph Torres for reaching out with such a generous donation. I hope this inspires others to get involved. No donations too large or too small. Please help us help our students succeed.”
“This donation of hand sanitizers comes at a critical time as the college prepares to reopen its doors to students in the fall. This donation will directly assist in protecting the health and safety of our ELAC community. I am thankful to Board Member Monares and SKINN Cosmetics for helping keep our students, faculty, and staff safe,” said ELAC President Dr. Alberto J. Román.
