LAST CHANCE: $5K+ Grants Small Biz & Nonprofits – Apply today
Attention friends of small businesses and nonprofits: there is more funding available to help our local economy thrive! I pushed to include an additional $1.5 Billion in the 2021-22 CA State Budget for the California COVID-19 Relief Grants. The final round of funding is open through September 30 for new and waitlisted applicants from previous rounds.
If you know a business or non-profit that was affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic, please share that they may be eligible for up to a $25,000 grant and can apply at CAReliefGrant.com.
I am thrilled to share that 3,388 small businesses right here in Irvine, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Woods & Laguna Beach have already been awarded CA relief grants. Earlier this summer, I caught up with owner of Toast Kitchen + Bakery about the impact of receiving this grant and how it helped his small business survive the pandemic.
As the Chair of the Assembly’s Select Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, I have seen and heard firsthand how these grants have helped entrepreneurs recover. At our first informational hearing focused on pandemic recovery for small businesses, we brought together legislators, economists, advocates and small business owners to discuss the critical challenges facing the small business community. At the top of the list was access to capital!
On Wednesday, October 6th from 3-4pm, I am partnering with the Small Business Development Center for their weekly webinar to discuss funding opportunities to help small business succeed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We will be discussing the Economic Injury Disaster Loan, Payroll Protection Program, Disaster Bridge Loan, 7a Forgiveness Program, and more!
But don’t delay, major capital is available to those who apply before the end of September. Reply to this email if you have any questions related to the Grant Relief Program or access to any other state resources.
Yours faithfully,
Cottie Petrie-Norris
California State Assemblywoman, AD74
