Public Health Reports 25 New Deaths and 1,647 New Positive Cases of Confirmed COVID-19 in Los Angeles County

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released the latest data on COVID-19.

• 1,647 new COVID-19 cases (1,501,527 cases to date)
• 25 new deaths due to COVID-19 (26,740 deaths to date)
• 664 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19
• More than 9,140,000 individuals tested; 15% of people tested positive

Data is by date reported by DPH, but does not necessarily represent the date of testing, hospitalization, or death.

* Number reflects an undercount due to a lag from weekend reporting.

** The number of cases reflects 476 backlogged positive tests from one lab with episode dates of these cases ranging from October 21 – October 27, 2021.

*** The number of cases reflects 396 backlogged positive tests from one lab with episode dates of these cases ranging from October 18 – October 29, 2021.
