Assembly Candidate Mike Fong Reminds Assembly District 49 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Voters to Vote By Mail As Soon As Possible 

Mike Fong emphasized the importance of exercising the right to vote in the February 15, 2022 Special Election 

ALHAMBRA, CA – Assembly Candidate Mike Fong urges Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) voters in Assembly District 49 (AD 49) to vote in the February 15, 2022 Special Election as soon as possible.

“Voting is the most important power in our democratic process.  This election, I urge our voters in the San Gabriel Valley to vote by mail as soon as possible and to ensure that our voice is heard.  Voting by mail is easy and safe,” said Assembly Candidate and Los Angeles Community College District Trustee Mike Fong.

Former Assemblymember Ed Chau was recently appointed to a judgeship.  This Special Election is being held to elect a successor to the State Assembly.  The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk sent vote-by-mail ballots to all voters in the Assembly District.  Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday, February 15, 2022.  AD 49 includes the cities of Alhambra, Arcadia, El Monte (partial), Montebello (partial), Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, South El Monte (partial), Temple City.

Voters may follow the simple steps below to vote for Assembly Candidate Mike Fong:

  • On the ballot for the 49th Assembly District Special Election, find Mike Fong’s name and use a black or blue pen to mark the appropriate bubble to vote for Mike Fong.
  • After voting, fold the ballot along the creases and place the ballot into the return envelope.
  • Seal the return envelope.  Then sign, date, and write the voting address on the back of the envelope.
  • The postage is already paid; no stamp is required.
  • Put the ballot in the mail as soon as possible.  The ballot must be postmarked by Election Day.
