Democrats For Israel Los Angeles Strongly Supports Lindsey Horvath for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Seat 3
The organization gave Horvath’s candidacy their highest recommendation
LOS ANGELES, CA – The Democrats for Israel Los Angeles has announced their strong support for the Honorable Lindsey Horvath’s campaign for Los Angeles County Supervisor. The organization assigns all candidates with a recommendation of either strong support, support, neutral, or oppose. They assigned Horvath their highest rating of ‘strong support,’ joining a long list of organizations that are mobilizing to elect Horvath for the 3rd District seat.
“Democrats for Israel Los Angeles is proud to support Lindsey Horvath for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Councilmember Horvath has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to standing up for Jewish people and speaking out against hate, and she has used her position to increase protections for the city’s Jewish communities. Her experience working closely with local organizations will make her an invaluable asset to the Board, and we are confident she is ready to hit the ground running” said Democrats for Israel Los Angeles President Gregg Solkovits.
Democrats for Israel Los Angeles was founded in 1990 to serve as a bridge between the Democratic Party and the Jewish community. The organization seeks to fight antisemitism and support Israel through their programming, which includes educational and cultural events, and support for elected officials who demonstrate shared values.
“I am thrilled that the Democrats for Israel Los Angeles have given me their highest rating, and I am incredibly grateful for their support. We continue to see an alarming rise in antisemitism, both locally and nationally, and we must do everything we can to root out hate wherever it exists. In my community, I’ve worked to increase coordination between public safety personnel – including law enforcement – and Jewish community groups, and have expanded supportive services. We worked together to establish community safety protocols and support for Jewish people, community centers, and places of worship, which I intend to expand regionally. No one should ever have to live in fear, and the County must act aggressively to root out hate and bigotry in any form. As Supervisor, I will work closely with our Jewish communities to make sure everyone feels safe and has the support they need,” said Councilmember Lindsey P. Horvath.
