House passes bill expanding security protections to Supreme Court family members

The House passed a bill on Tuesday that would provide security protections to family members of Supreme Court justices, sending the measure to President Biden’s desk for final approval.

The legislation, dubbed the Supreme Court Police Parity Act, cleared the House in a 396-27 vote. Twenty-seven Democrats opposed the bill.
