Inauguration Ceremony of U.S.-China Logistics General Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (July 17, 2022) – The Inauguration Ceremony of “US-China Logistics General Chamber of Commerce” was held in Los Angeles San Gabriel Sheraton in the evening of July 16. The event was attended by Judy Chu, Member of the United States Congress; Mike Fong, state Assembly member; Zhang Jian and Liu Fei, Commercial Consul of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles; as well as the local elected officials and representatives of reputable logistic companies and organizations including China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Guangdong Province, COSCO Shipping Logistics Supply ChainCo., Ltd., UPS, and China Southern Airlines North America Marketing Center.

Congresswoman Judy Chu said “I respected Carson Zhang so much for his persistent, I know all of you in logistic are so important to the U.S.now, you play such critical role in supply chain.” 

California Treasurer Fiona Ma congratulated the establishment of USCLGCC through a video.

U.S.- China Logistics General Chamber of Commerce (USCLGCC) was registered in California on March 8, 2022.

The main objective of USCLGCC is to play a friendly platform and bridge role in the development of economy and trade between the U.S. and China.

“With the world economic quick development, environment changing, e-commerce and Internet fast development of mature, in the commodity circulation industry chain of logistics industry obtained rapid development opportunities, about the integration of all kinds of resources become more important! Also the logistics industry get their own faster and better business development. Today, the United States and China are the main drivers of global economic development, which have greatly promoted the new trend of rapid development of e-commerce logistics industry, and made it a pioneer industry leading the development of world economy and trade, and also laid a solid foundation for the establishment of our Logistics business association. As a business bridge for the communication and cooperation between the supply chain, logistics and related industries.”

“Between the United States and China, we will assist enterprises from both sides in the development and management of various needs, and provide assistance and services in tax, legal and government communication, as well as realize complementary advantages and information exchange with each others.” said Carson Zhang, president of USCLGCC, in his speech.

According to Carson Zhang: “Under the guidance of the US-China Guangdong Chamber of Commerce, we focus on public welfare: To organize all kinds of business promotion activities and business exchanges regularly and irregularly to promote mutual the understanding and promote the development of economic and trade. The current member of the U.S.-China Logistics Chamber of Commerce  “involved in more than 30 related upstream and downstream industry, and cooperative companies has more than 500 members, are the industry engaged in logistics management and the operation of the e-commerce and related companies. Their major areas are distributed in the United States, for the majority of the both sides of consumers, we try to provide them more high quality logistics services.”

USCLGCC Executive Director Shuai Yong gave a further introduction to USCLGCC. He said: The establishment of the US-China Logistics Chamber of Commerce is a group of people who have firm confidence in US-China trade, mutual benefit and long-term co-prosperity, and are determined to work together for the prosperity of US-China trade. The result of the joint efforts of pioneers who do their best. This group of pioneers, with a common vision and mission, work together to organize and build industry platforms, share resources, establish industry standards and access, and better serve US-China trade.

They are also a group of practitioners who firmly believe in long-term valueism and all customer-centric concepts. They adhere to honest management, industry self-discipline, and sustainable development in their respective service fields. At the same time, they also actively participate in the construction of communities and groups to give full play to the social value of the enterprise.

The participants of the event appreciated the efforts of the US-China Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in facilitating the creation as well as formal launch of the USCLGCC. The participants acknowledged that USCLGCC will offer huge opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations between the U.S. and China. They further expressed hope that creation of USCLGCC would ensure regular interaction between the business community of between the U.S. and China and would be helpful in advancing the economic relations forward.
