LOS ANGELES, CA – In a show of momentum for her candidacy, the Sierra Club announced their endorsement of the Honorable Lindsey P. Horvath for Los Angeles County Supervisor in the 3rd District. Sierra Club is one of the oldest and most influential environmental organizations in the country.
“Lindsey Horvath has been a true champion of innovative environmental policy, and her record on fighting climate change is second to none in this race,” said Dyana Peña, Angeles Chapter Chair, Sierra Club. “We will have a true partner in Lindsey who will advocate for conservation, wildlife, clean air, clean energy, and clean water when she is elected to the Board of Supervisors. We enthusiastically endorse her campaign.”
“We have endorsed Lindsey Horvath many times in the past and we are proud to endorse her for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors,” said Howard Strauss, Angeles Chapter Political Committee, Sierra Club.
“It’s truly an honor to receive the support of the Sierra Club. Their reputation, work, and history have shaped our relationship with the outdoors and our natural environment, and they have effectively and positively influenced policy at every level of government. I’m so grateful for their endorsement and look forward to a strong partnership and long working relationship when I’m elected,” said Honorable Lindsey P. Horvath.
The Sierra Club organizes and mobilizes people to restore the right to clean air and clean water and build sustainable communities powered by clean, renewable energy; fights to protect and preserve our coastal habitats and communities from the threats of pollution, development, and a changing climate; and plays a pivotal role in developing the sustainable and just solutions necessary to protect our home’s natural beauty, wild creatures, and scenic landscape from the climate and extinction crisis.
