Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control Announces Special Promotions for Pet Adoptions in August at its Seven Animal Care Centers
The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control (DACC) is pleased to join NBC4 and Telemundo 52’s annual Clear the Shelters™ pet adoption and donation campaign for the eighth consecutive year. This year this event will take place from August 1- 31st. During the month-long initiative, DACC’s seven (7) animal care centers are joining at least 70 other animal shelters and nonprofit rescue organizations to create awareness about pet adoptions and help raise funds to support animal welfare. Since its inception in 2015, this unique initiative has harnessed the power of television and multiple digital platforms to help find homes for tens of thousands of animals nationwide.
For the entire month of August, adoption fees at DACC Animal Care Centers will be waived for cats and reduced to $20 for all dogs. Both fees will include adoption, spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchips, but not licenses or spay/neuter deposits if necessary.
“A huge thank you to NBC4 and Telemundo 52 for spreading the message that adoption is the best option to help homeless pets find forever homes,” says Director Marcia Mayeda.
