Assemblywoman Suzette Valladares endorsed by Los Angeles City Firefighters
Santa Clarita, CA – Assemblywoman Suzette Valladares has been endorsed by the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, representing more than 3,600 firefighters and emergency medical personnel protecting the City of Los Angeles.
In their endorsement, LAFD Captain II Freddy Escobar, President of the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, wrote:
“Assemblymember Suzette Valladares is delivering for the people she represents, including many LA City Firefighters who live and work in the 40th Assembly District. She understands the critical life and property saving work that our firefighters perform every single day. With wildfires raging up and down the state of California threatening our hillsides and neighborhoods, it’s critical to elect strong leaders who support public safety and our firefighters.
“Suzette Valladares has earned our trust and demonstrated that she will continue to make public safety a priority. That’s why the dedicated men and women of the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City are proud to support her re-election to the California State Assembly.”
In response, Assemblywoman Valladares said, “I am proud to have the endorsement of Los Angeles City Firefighters, adding to the broad support of local first responders, including the Los Angeles Police Protective League and Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs. During the past two years, my goal was to protect our hillsides and homes from fires, provide more public safety tools, and make supporting and helping first responders a priority. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished to date, delivering on these priorities.”
