ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS ENDORSE COUNCILWOMAN LINDSEY HORVATH FOR SUPERVISOR
LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath solidified her position as the environmental champion in the race for Los Angeles County Supervisor with 43 new endorsements from environmental leaders in the 3rd Supervisorial District.
“Lindsey Horvath understands that every pocket of the district has its own unique environmental needs, and she is willing to address each and every one of those needs. It is no surprise she has amassed such a broad coalition of support among our district’s environmental leaders,” said Kim Lamorie, President of the Las Virgenes Homeowners Federation.
“Councilwoman Horvath is dedicated to solving the climate crisis. We broke precedent to endorse her race because it’s so important that we have her leadership in LA County,” said Fran Diamond, President of California Environmental Voters, formerly the California League of Conservation Voters. Prior to the group’s endorsement, California Environmental Voters rarely endorsed in local government races.
In addition to the 43 community environmental leaders announcing their support today, Horvath is the only candidate endorsed by the Sierra Club, the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, the Jane Fonda Climate PAC, and the Center for Biological Diversity.
“I am humbled by the districtwide support I have received from the community advocates fighting for a sustainable and resilient Los Angeles County,” said Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath. “As Supervisor, I vow to work towards our shared goal of saving our planet and stopping politicians like Big Oil Bob who are selling out our future for campaign cash.”
