STATE SENATOR CONNIE LEYVA ENDORSES COUNCILWOMAN LINDSEY HORVATH FOR SUPERVISOR

LOS ANGELES, CA –  Today, California State Senator Connie Leyva officially endorsed Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath’s bid for Los Angeles County Supervisor. She joins her colleagues Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, Assemblymember Tina McKinnor, Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian, Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo, Assemblymember Alex Lee, and State Senator Sydney Kamlager, in supporting Horvath’s campaign.

“Lindsey Horvath has what it takes to improve public safety, strengthen economic development, and protect our environment, which is why I am proud to endorse her for Supervisor,” said State Senator Connie Leyva. “She is a progressive leader who understands the systemic issues impacting our communities and is dedicated to achieving real solutions. Re-elected to represent the 20th State Senate District in 2018, Senator Connie Leyva is currently serving her second term in the California State Senate. Her experience in community service started when she was elected in 2004 as the first woman President of the California Labor Federation.  During her time in office, she authored important and successful legislation. Most recently, her bills that aim to empower sexual assault survivors and expand access to contraceptive care have been enacted.
