LA County Seeks Co-Applicants for Homekey Round 3

Addendum 1 and 2 to the Homekey Program RFSQ Now Available

Today, Los Angeles County released ADDENDUM 1 and 2, which includes a Q&A, to potential respondents to the County’s Homekey Round 3 Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ). The State expects to release Homekey Round 3 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) in March 2023. The County will seek to apply jointly with qualified co-applicants who will be selected through a competitive solicitation process.

Through the Homekey program, the California Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is funding local jurisdictions to develop a broad range of housing types, including but not limited to hotels, motels, hostels, single-family homes and multifamily apartments, adult residential facilities, and manufactured housing, and to convert commercial properties and other existing buildings to Permanent or Interim Housing for the Target Population.

On Thursday, January 12, 2023, the County of Los Angeles Homeless Initiative hosted a Vendor’s Conference to provide information and answer questions on the Homekey Round 3 Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) application process. In addition, the County accepted written questions regarding the RFSQ through January 17, 2023. The Questions and Answer period has now closed. As an attachment to this Addendum, we have included a list of brokers and property owners who have reached out to the County and may have properties available.

Please see the below link for a copy of the RFSQ, Addenda, Q&A, and List of Brokers.

All responses to the Request for Statement of Qualifications must be submitted by January 31, 2023.
