Public Health Reports 1,269 New Positive Cases and 24 New Deaths Due to COVID-19 in Los Angeles County Since Saturday

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released the latest data on COVID-19.

  • 1,269 New COVID-19 cases (3,724,641 cases to date)
    • Tuesday 3/28 – 195
    • Monday 3/27 – 208
    • Sunday 3/26 – 290
    • Saturday 3/25 – 576
  • 24 New deaths due to COVID-19 (35,994 deaths to date)
    • Tuesday 3/28 – 4
    • Monday 3/27 – 5
    • Sunday 3/26 – 6
    • Saturday 3/25 – 9
  • 394 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19
  • More than 12,989,000 individuals tested; 25% of people tested positive to date

In alignment with both the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Public Health will change to weekly reporting of COVID-19 case, hospitalization and death data. The last day of daily reporting will be today, Tuesday, March 28. Starting the week of April 3, COVID-19 data will be reported weekly.
