LOS ANGELES COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT HOST SANTA MONICA COMMUNITY JOB AND RESOURCE FAIR AT VIRGINIA AVENUE PARK
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 17, 2023)- The Los Angeles County Probation Department will host a Santa Monica Community Job and Resource Fair on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Virginia Avenue Park at 2200 Virginia Avenue Santa Monica, CA 90404. Join the department for a fun, educational day focused on the community and its residents. The fair will feature more than 60 community-focused exhibitors providing free on-site services such as health screenings, employment opportunities, homeless resources including housing and free haircuts, mental health counseling, Covid-19 testing, vaccinations, and more. The probation department is also proud to partner with the Los Angeles Food Bank to give away food boxes to community members. Clothing for all ages, toiletries, and blankets will also be available for those in need. In addition, motivational speakers, including Ron Foster, former NFL Raiders player, Interim Probation Chief Guillermo Viera Rosa, Santa Monica Police Department Resource Officer Steven Hollowell, City of Santa Monica Fire Chief Danny Alverez, and the City of Santa Monica Mayor Gleam Davis, will be present providing words of inspiration to attendees.
