The New Silk Road China International Children’s Model Competition in the Los Angeles region ended with a breathtaking closing ceremony, gearing up for the global grand finals in August
San Gabriel, CA (June 1, 2023) – The [19th New Silk Road China International Children’s Model Competition] Los Angeles Regional Finals and Award Ceremony were grandly held at the Sheraton Hotel in San Gabriel on May 28, 2023. The talented contestants showcased their skills on the extravagant and dreamlike stage, leaving a lasting impression!
The US regional finals of the [New Silk Road China International Children’s Model Competition] are hosted by the [New Silk Road Industrial Group], [US J.I.A. International Culture and Media Group], and the [American Dance Association], with the Los Angeles region co-hosted once again by the previous organizers, the [East West Performing Arts Alliance Inc.] and [KSL STUDIO]. And it is exclusively sponsored by[SPIC China Nortel North America Energy Development Inc.][KSL STUDIO] serves as the sole designated pre-competition modeling training institution by the New Silk Road. Distinguished guests who attended the finals and award ceremony include Yang Yang, founder of the[East West Performing Arts Alliance Inc.], Ms Katrina Yu, founder of [KSL STUDIO], and WiIL Lyu, CEO, and Jason Li, Vice President of [SPIC China Nortel North America Energy Development Inc.], the exclusive title sponsor of this contest in Los Angeles, all of whom delivered remarkable speeches.
The competition witnessed the triumphant return of the champions and received enthusiastic responses. Apart from the young participants from Los Angeles, there were also contestants from San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, and even Canada and New Zealand. The judging panel for the finals includes: Tianxiang Li, a renowned dancer and performing artist from the General Political Song and Dance Troupe/China’s top sports dancer. Meng Li, the champion of the 23rd World Miss Model Contest in the China and Asia regions. Qianqian Zhang, a national-level first-class athlete and referee in sports dancing. CC CHEN, an international evaluator of the China International Standard Dance Association and an academician-level teacher of the association. Mr. Liwei Xi (David Xi), the first generation male model of the China New Silk Road and China’s chief fashion representative. Ekber Turdi, a male model, musician, and singer who holds the title of Top Ten Models in the Shanghai Model Contest. Matthew Acuff, a renowned baritone opera singer. Samantha Zhang, a director of the China Model Industry Association, Secretary-General of the 2018 World Model Contest China Finals, and Executive Chairman of the 2018 World Model Contest New Zealand Fashion Show.

The finals are hosted by renowned host Yang Yang and Nan Cui. The guest performers at the finals are all heavyweight figures, including last year’s champion in the junior category, Joye Chen, who starts her modeling career on the New Silk Road stage and has signed contracts with two mainstream modeling agencies. The impromptu dance performance of renowned dance artist Tianxiang Li and national-level first-class athlete and referee in sports dancing, Miss Qianqian Zhang, titled “My Heart Will Go On,” received thunderous applause from the audience. An exquisite evening gown show was presented by the elite mentoring team from [KSL STUDIO], some of the contest judges, and outstanding students trained by KSL STUDIO. Crystal Deng, the previous champion of the Junior Division, took the stage first, while Lily Liang, the previous champion of the Youth Performance Division, delivered the grand finale performance. With the accompaniment of the [East West Performing Arts Alliance Inc.], the soprano singer Nan Cui performed “Hallelujah”, providing the audience with an audio-visual feast. The runway show also featured parent-child combinations, conveying the values of inheritance, original aspirations, and transcendence, which are the essence of our contest.
The contest also includes a special red carpet segment, where members of the Galaxy Art Group for Children Los Angeles Youth Division, including Yuqi Feng, Raymond Tian, Jaylen Ma, Victor Zong, Kenzie Wu Laing, and Zijun Luo, successfully fulfilled their hosting duties.
The contest is divided into five age groups: the toddler group, the early childhood group, the children’s group, the youth group, and the teenage performance group. Through fierce competitions in logo outfits, trendy outfits, and formal wear, the (male and female) champions of each group are finally determined as follows:

The atmosphere is enchanting, resembling a grand fashion show, where each participant showcased their unique fashion attitude, confidence, and courage. The music played during the logo outfit competition was composed by Zihao Fang, a young music producer, adding boundless energy and excitement to the children’s performances.
