TV Broadcaster, War Correspondent, and Humanitarian Christina Pascucci Launches Campaign for U.S. Senate

LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, Christina Pascucci, renowned TV anchor and world news journalist, launched her campaign for the U.S. Senate to make sure Californians are represented by someone who puts people over politics.

“This election will be a choice between how it’s been done, and how it can be,” said Christina Pascucci. “I’m joining this race because I think that our challenges here in California, and across the globe, deserve a kind of leadership that puts people over politics. I hope you will join me in this fight.

Voters are disappointed are disappointed by the polarization and partisan fighting they see in California, and across the nation. We need aspirational leaders now who will bring America back to its ideals. Washington is in dire need of a heavy dose of truth. I am the person to bring it.”

WHO IS CHRISTINA?

A lifelong Californian, a tireless community activist, a renowned journalist, and an expecting mother, Christina Pascucci has consistently worked to make a positive impact in her community, across California and the world.

She’s a fearless journalist, having reported from over 100 countries and all seven continents in her relentless pursuit of the truth.  From interviewing the globe’s most influential political and spiritual figures to braving the perils of war zones and championing the cause of justice by exposing and changing corrupt policies, Christina’s zeal for uncovering the truth knows no borders.

Christina has reported from active war zones in Ukraine and conflict areas around the globe. She has shared stories of survival, helped lead a humanitarian mission of surgeons performing life-saving medical treatments on babies just weeks old in Ukraine. In Armenia, she told the stories of families whose homes had been shelled in Sotk and Jermuk, and exposed the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh.  During another assignment, she crossed paths with a young Afghan who had fallen victim to an IED. She was inspired to join the Board of the organization that helped that little girl, and has since embarked on missions to Haiti, Mexico, Central America, and the Middle East.

Christina has firsthand knowledge of the need to address the humanitarian crisis at the California border, and push for real immigration reform. She has reported frequently on migrants, refugees, and border security, while continuing her charity work with migrants on both sides of the border.  This is something that Christina’s family knows intimately- her mother immigrated to the United States with the dream of giving her children a better future.

As a California-based investigative reporter for 15 years, her stories often spurred social and policy changes including when she exposed the wasteful water policies of the LA Department of Water and Power. Her work prompted the agency to reform its practices and conserve millions of gallons of water during the state’s worst drought.

Christina’s tireless advocacy extends to mental health awareness, foster youth, and unhoused families. Through her decade-long involvement with the Junior League of Los Angeles, Christina advocated for these causes in Sacramento, and fought to pass bipartisan legislation to support unhoused families.

For her entire adult life, Christina has served as a big sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor program, earning the distinguished title of California’s Big Sister of the Year in 2019. Her dedication to underserved youth was also honored by the Los Angeles City Council and the California Senate. She now proudly serves on the board.
