LA County to Launch Free Employee Ownership Consultation and Assistance Services for Business Owners
Los Angeles, CA November 28, 2023 – LA County Board of Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell and the LA County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) will be launching the Employee Ownership LA County program, which will provide no-cost education and technical assistance to business owners interested in selling legacy companies and offering employees a chance to take full company ownership.
The launch event will be held at Giroux Glass, a glass, glazing, and architectural metals contracting company that provides services in the commercial, retail, and luxury sectors. Giroux Glass is a 100% employee-owned business, also known as Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), with a team of union-qualified glaziers that provide high-quality repairs and replacements to glass, mirrors, aluminum, doors, skylights, and storefronts.
