Los Angeles, CA (December 23, 2023) – A 6-member Chinese delegation interested in re-connecting business and cultural ties with Southern California–including local Chinese American. On December 22th, The Anhui Provincial Government delegation visiting the United States held the “Beautiful Anhui Dialogue with the World” Anhui Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference in Los Angeles. The delegation was led by Sun Yong, lieutenant governor of the Anhui Provincial People’s Government, and included members of the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Anhui Provincial Department of Education and some key tourism leaders in Anhui Province. More than 60 people including Li Zhiqiang, Deputy Consul General of China in Los Angeles, Wang Qi, Director of the Consular Affairs Office, fellow Anhui residents and people from all walks of life in Southern California.

Anhui is active and strong in innovation, with 121 universities and 7,074 scientific research institutions, and 218 “national brand” innovation platforms. Last year, its regional innovation capability ranked seventh in the country and ranked first in China for 11 consecutive years. Anhui has distinctive manufacturing characteristics and booming emerging industries. 10% of the world’s laptop computers and 20% of LCD screens are produced in Anhui. 30% of China’s refrigerators, 25% of washing machines, and 20% of air conditioners are made in Anhui. Anhui’s automobile export volume Accounting for 1/4 of China’s exports.”
In his speech, he also mentioned: Anhui has good ecological resources. The province’s cities and counties are connected to high-speed railways and counties are connected to expressways. The operating mileage of high-speed railways has exceeded 2,500 kilometers, ranking first in the country. Anhui has a profound historical and cultural heritage. Anhui has a first-class business environment and fully implements the pre-establishment national treatment plus negative list management system.
He said: The friendly exchanges between the two countries have a long history and will last forever. Not long ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping once again set foot on this hot land. He recalled that his first visit to the United States in 1985 was through San Francisco. His first impression of the United States came from San Francisco. In 2016, Anhui Province held the “Charming Anhui into California Asian Traditional Culture Festival” event in San Francisco. For the first time, Anhui Province used the California Asian Traditional Culture Festival to showcase Anhui’s long history and culture, beautiful natural scenery, The superb local arts and achievements in economic and social development have enhanced California’s understanding of Anhui and deepened cooperation between Anhui and California in the fields of culture, tourism, humanities and other fields. After seven years, the Anhui delegation set off again to carry out cultural and tourism exchanges with California and share friendship and cooperation.
