Los Angeles Fashion Week Honors Lifetime Achievement Award to America Fashion Icon Sue Wong

LA Fashion week closed with the most expected show of Sue Wong, the most famous and successful Chinese American fashion designer, on March 16th. Sue Wong brings about 60 new designed dresses full with oriental, mysterious, elegant, and royal factors in her style. The show was packed with people, at an astonishing 500 guests, and many of them were standing just to get a glimpse of her work and what she had to offer at that moment.

Sue Wong was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award this year.

According to LA FASHION WEEK, “Sue Wong is maybe the most important LA Fashion Week designer that you can find out there. In fact, she has been a part of LAFW for a very long time, and she continues to bring in front some very interesting and new ideas to the table.”

Sue presented a wide-ranged collection that included the designer’s signature embellished evening wear with elaborate trim of feathers, silk, flowers, and beads. The audience was astonished for each piece when models floated down the runway in dresses one by one.

Her longtime Chinese friend Robert Sun said,  that she is a very talented and creative designer, and every year she always tries to come up with fascinating new ideas and extraordinary insights into the fashion world. This season, she included actual oriental royalty to the stylish mix.

Wong’s shows always draw a standing-room-only crowd of industry insiders, actors, performers and celebrities.

Born in China, Sue Wong started her fashion career in the states without any professional education, she is best known for her dress designs with a contemporary twist based on an old Hollywood glamour style. Her collections are available in about 27 countries.  Sue Wong as recognized America fashion Icon and legacy now.
