The AT&T Film Awards is an open competition seeking imaginative, undiscovered short films from aspiring creators who want their voices heard. AT&T is supporting and rewarding excellence in filmmaking with cash prizes, exposure, and a chance to take home the coveted AT&T Film Awards trophy during the finals at AT&T SHAPE at Warner Bros. Studios.
We are excited to announce the 4th Edition of the competition, where we are putting the spotlight on emerging and underrepresented creators, with a focus on innovative filmmaking technologies including films shot on mobile, 360 Cinematic Video, and CGI/Animated shorts.

CATEGORIES & PRIZES
Finalists will compete in the AT&T Film Awards finals, to be held at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles on June 2, 2018. Finalists will receive travel and hotel accommodations for one member from each team.
BEST SHORT: EMERGING FILMMAKERS
Just wrapped your latest short and are looking for your big break? We are seeking inspiring and creative short films from aspiring filmmakers, up to 10 minutes in length, across all genres.

BEST SHORT: UNDERREPRESENTED FILMMAKER
We are awarding $10,000 to encourage the growth and development of creators from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Awarded to the best short film, up to 10 minutes in length, across all genres.
Eligibility
Eligible creators include people with disabilities, LGBTQ, women, and people of color. Open to legal residents of the U.S., ages 18 and up. See Official Rules for full eligibility requirements.

- 1st Place: $10,000 Cash
BEST SHORT: SHOT ON MOBILE
Awarded to the top short film shot on smartphone, tablet, or drone. Shorts must be no longer than 10 minutes, and all genres are accepted. Advances in mobile video technology has made filmmaking more accessible and affordable for aspiring creators. We are encouraging filmmakers to share their short films shot using mobile video technologies.

BEST SHORT: 360° CINEMATIC VIDEO
Awarded to the top short filmed in 360° cinematic video format – live-action video shot on a 360° camera or rig. We’re seeking imaginary and compelling 360° video from immersive storytellers across the U.S. Submissions must be no longer than 10 minutes in length, across all genres.

- 1st Place: $5,000 Cash
BEST SHORT: CGI/ANIMATION
Awarded to the top short film demonstrating the best use of CGI or animation. Submissions must be no longer than 10 minutes in length, across all genres.

There is no fee to enter – Submission Deadline: April 15, 2018
RULES
- There is NO FEE for submitting a film to this competition.
- Finalists selected MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND the AT&T Film Awards finals, to be held at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles on June 2, 2018. Finalists will receive travel and hotel accommodations for one member from each team.
- Submissions will be accepted through April 15, 2018.
- Submitted films must have been completed after January 1, 2016 to be eligible.
- Genres: We are seeking films in action/adventure, comedy, documentary, drama, experimental, horror, sci-fi and thriller.
- Only original works are accepted. Submitting parties must hold complete ownership and rights of submitted product.
- Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States.
