‘Tis the Season at South Coast Plaza!
Festive Décor, Reindeer Carousel, and Tree-Lighting Celebration Await Holiday Shoppers
LAPost/Costa Mesa, Oct 28, 2024 – South Coast Plaza is ready to kick off the holiday season, starting with its much-anticipated tree-lighting celebration on November 21, hosted by the Segerstrom family. The annual event, free and open to the public, will feature a musical performance by students from the Orange County School of the Arts, a visit from Santa, and a countdown to the lighting of the 96-foot fir tree. Caroling begins at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. at Town Center Park in front of The Westin Hotel.
Following the tree-lighting ceremony, holiday festivities begin in full swing from November 22 through January 5, 2025. Visitors to South Coast Plaza can look forward to a series of enchanting experiences and activities for all ages.
Holiday Highlights at South Coast Plaza
Holiday Trees
South Coast Plaza’s three majestic trees will be the focal point of holiday décor: the Jewel Court tree adorned with radiant ornaments, a great tree in the Crate & Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing with Santa figures from around the world and a miniature train, and the 96-foot fir at Town Center Park, illuminated with over 20,000 lights.
Santa’s Village and Cottage
Starting November 22, families can visit Santa at two locations: Santa’s Village at Carousel Court and Santa’s North Pole Cottage near Crate & Barrel. Both locations offer photo packages priced from $19 to $58.
Reindeer Carousel and Santa’s Express Train
Unique to South Coast Plaza, children can enjoy rides on the Reindeer Carousel ($2 per ride) and Santa’s Express Train, which is complimentary with any Santa photo purchase.
Exclusive Gift Offer for UnionPay Cardholders
From November 22 through December 31, UnionPay cardholders who spend $3,500 or more will receive a $200 South Coast Plaza gift card.
New Boutiques and Upcoming Openings
South Coast Plaza is excited to announce several new boutiques open just in time for holiday shopping, including Alaia, Amiri, Baccarat, Lanvin, and Rolex, among others. Looking ahead, 2025 will welcome stores from luxury brands such as Dior Parfums, Moncler, and Harry Winston, promising an elevated shopping experience into the new year.
