Disneyland kicks off 2025 Lunar New Year celebrations
LAPost/Anaheim, Ca (January 18, 2025) – Disney California Adventure Park has officially launched its 2025 Lunar New Year Celebration! This event is filled with traditional elements from Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures, offering visitors endless fun and immersive experiences through entertainment, merchandise, food, and beverages. This year’s Disney Lunar New Year Celebration will continue until February 16, 2025.
Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Park, where you can join Disney characters, enjoy delicious food, and participate in fun activities to welcome the Year of the Snake and experience the charm of Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese traditions.
The Lunar New Year Celebration will take place from January 17 to February 16, 2025, at Disney California Adventure Park. This annual tribute to the traditions of China, Vietnam, and Korea features lively performances and elegant activities that embody the festive spirit of the New Year.
Highlights include meticulously designed costumes for Mickey and Minnie, as well as the “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.” This parade is performed four times daily at 12:45 PM, 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM, and 6:45 PM. Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession begins with triumphant music and dozens of beautifully costumed performers filling the streets. You’ll be captivated by this dazzling display featuring Mulan, Mushu, Disney friends, and a spirited group of Chinese entertainers.
The procession can be enjoyed multiple times throughout the day during the Lunar New Year celebration. Additionally, the event features over 70 limited-time menu items and specialty products available for visitors to savor at Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney District, and resort hotels.
This year’s Lunar New Year Celebration offers more than 40 new food and beverage items, including strawberry milk tea and specialty crispy tofu bowls.
The 2025 Lunar New Year Foodie Guide lists all snacks and beverages along with the locations of performances and merchandise. For the first time, the Sip and Savor Pass features three collectible designs created by artist Ann Shen, randomly distributed, each honoring the three cultural traditions of Lunar New Year. These unique designs will become cherished holiday keepsakes for visitors.
The Lunar New Year Celebration is not just a feast for the taste buds but also a cultural experience packed with fun activities, making it the perfect event for families to enjoy together.
