Solis Hosts Drive-Thru Food Distribution in San Gabriel Valley for Families Impacted by Power Outages and Wildfires

2,500 families from the San Gabriel Valley received food, water, pet food, and other essentials to help them through this challenging time.

Irwindale, CA – Los Angeles County Chair Pro Tem and Supervisor Hilda L. Solis hosted a drive-thru food distribution this morning at the Irwindale Speedway in response to residents impacted by recent power outages and the ongoing wildfires. The event provided critical supplies, including food, water, diapers, pet food, hygiene products, and more.

Approximately 2,500 households from the San Gabriel Valley received much-needed resources to help them through this challenging time.

Chair Pro Tem Solis issued the following statement:

“Many families in our community have been deeply affected not only by the devastating wildfires but also by ongoing challenges like utility shutoffs, job losses, food insecurity, and the soaring cost of housing,” said Chair Pro Tem Solis. “As we continue to assess the full scope of assistance needed in the wake of these hardships, it’s essential that we come together to support those struggling. This distribution is just one of many steps toward helping our neighbors recover and rebuild.”
