Redondo Beach Fire Department hosts open house, service day

Join the Redondo Beach Fire Department Saturday, May 12 for annual Fire Service Day as they open up Fire Stations 1 and 2 to the public.

Fire department officials will be on hand to demonstrate equipment used for extrication, firefighting, paramedic response and personal protective equipment.

Held nationally by fire departments, Fire Service Day in Redondo Beach provides an opportunity to visit a fire station and get to know the firefighters who serve and protect.

Donations will also be accepted to “Fill the Boot” with funds going to local charities.

Fire Station 1 at 401 S. Broadway and Fire Station 2 at 2400 Grant Avenue will open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12. For more information, call (310) 318-0663.
