LA COUNTY PARKS PRESENTS 11TH ANNUAL GIRLS EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

LOS ANGELES (September 2025) – The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation (LA County Parks) is excited to announce the 11th Annual Girls Empowerment Conference, taking place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at East Los Angeles College 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park, CA 91754.

This free, inspirational event invites over 1,000 young women ages 12–18 from across Los Angeles County to a day of empowerment, innovation, and celebration. This year’s conference will focus on turning young women’s dreams into a powerful force for change — the girls who are ready to Be the Impact. LA County Parks is not just providing a platform; but creating a space so young women can find their voice, build a future without limits, and chase their dreams with passion. This event hopes to connect girls with shared energy and celebrate their strengths. “Unleash Your Voice. Envision Your Future. Pursue Your Dreams.”

Registration is FREE and spots are limited! Sign up today at bit.ly/REGISTERGEC and Be the Impact— it’s the starting point for a brighter future.

“The Girls Empowerment Conference is where young women’s voices are amplified, possibilities are limitless, and dreams take flight. Expect innovative programming, an inclusive environment, and impactful engagement that will inspire, connect, and empower like never before. Come join us for a celebration of strength, potential, and the incredible impact of parks and recreation in driving social equity and fostering a deep sense of belonging,” said Norma E. García-González, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. “LA County Parks believes that when girls come together, they create a ripple effect that makes our communities stronger and more connected.”

This event was made possible by the generous support of our LA County sponsors: Department of Probation, Department of Public Health, and Department of Mental Health.
