John Chiang appreciates the great supports from California Latino communities
State Treasurer and gubernatorial candidate John Chiang with state Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon hosted a GOTV event at Plaza Mexico Saturday evening.
John Chiang is the only candidate in California’s history to be elected to all three of the state’s financial offices — including the Board of Equalization, State Controller, and now serves as our state’s Treasurer. In 2008, Chiang famously stood up to Governor Schwarzenegger when he wanted to slash the salary of our state workers to $6.55 per hour and refused to pay the legislature when they passed an unbalanced budget. Having held all three financial offices for the past 10 years, Chiang has been working to rebuild our state’s economy since the Great Recession and now California has secured itself as the world’s fifth largest economy.
Only a few days away from the primary election state Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon shows his great support to John during the event.
John Chiang has the same value with Latino immigrants, he appreciates the great supports from California Latino communities.
As a son of immigrants, John Chiang shares the same values with Latinos and all communities who have faced bigotry and discrimination because of the color of their skin, because of the neighborhood they grew up in, or because of who they love.
