Frank Scotto Receives Endorsement of Former Manhattan Beach Mayor, Russ Lesser

TORRANCE, CA– Frank Scotto has announced receiving the endorsement of former Manhattan Beach Mayor Russ Lesser in his bid to be the next 66th District Assemblyman.

“Frank is a fighter for the beach communities and every community in the South Bay,” said Lesser. “There is no doubt in my mind he is the right candidate for job.”

Scotto, a United States Army veteran who was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, began his service to the community of Torrance as a Civil Service Commissioner. In 2000, he was elected to the Torrance City Council and was elected Mayor in 2006 and 2010. As Mayor, Frank made a clear commitment to help and honor fellow veterans by building the Veterans Memorial and creating the “Hometown Heroes” banner program, which established the first veterans’ job fair.

In addition to his public service, Frank founded Frank Scotto Towing in 1975. Spanning nearly four decades, Frank grew and maintained a company that provided emergency assistance for motorists and commuters. He worked with numerous organizations, including the Freeway Service Patrol, California Highway Patrol and the Automobile Club of Southern California. His dedication to the community earned him the Civilian Achievement Award from the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Frank Scotto is the former Mayor of Torrance. He is running for State Assembly in the 66th Assembly District, which encompasses much of the South Bay of Los Angeles.
