MONROVIA, CA—To advance critical safety and traffic flow improvements at the SR-57/SR-60 Confluence, the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) will implement five weekend overnight closures of eastbound State Route 60 (SR-60) in Diamond during the month of August.
All lanes on eastbound SR-60 will be fully closed between Lemon Avenue and Diamond Bar Boulevard during overnight hours each weekend in August. The closures are necessary to safely accommodate ongoing construction activities and advance improvements designed to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and reduce congestion at one of the region’s most heavily traveled and hazardous freeway interchanges.
The closures are as follows and are subject to change:
Closure Hours:
- Saturday mornings: 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM
- Sunday mornings: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

- Weekend 2: August 8 & 9
- Weekend 3: August 15 & 16
- Weekend 4: August 22 & 23
- Weekend 5: August 29 & 30
Ramp, Connector & Streets Impacted
Closed:
- Northbound SR-57 connector to eastbound SR-60
- Eastbound SR-60 Grand Avenue off-ramp
- Eastbound SR-60 Grand Avenue on-ramp
Open:
- Eastbound SR-60 connector to southbound SR-57
- Northbound SR-57 Pathfinder Road on-ramp (Open only for motorists connecting to westbound SR-60)
- Eastbound SR-60 Lemon Avenue on-ramp (Open only for motorists connecting to southbound SR-57)
- Grand Avenue Bridge (Will experience partial lane closures, but will remain open)
