San Francisco Supervisor Alan Wong expressed his gratitude to District 4 voters for their support, saying he remains committed to representing the Sunset District’s priorities and ensuring that neighborhood residents have a voice in City Hall.
In a statement following the election, Wong said he was deeply grateful for the trust placed in him by District 4 voters. He emphasized that his goal has consistently been to bring the voice and values of the Sunset community to City Hall and ensure that residents’ concerns are heard.
Wong said his approach to public service centers on practical, common-sense leadership and addressing fundamental neighborhood needs, including public safety, clean streets, responsive government and creating conditions that allow families to thrive in San Francisco.
A native of the Sunset District, Wong said his personal connection to the neighborhood has shaped his approach to public service and community engagement. During his campaign, he personally spent more than 700 hours knocking on doors across District 4, reaching approximately three-quarters of voter households in the Sunset.
He said the conversations with residents provided firsthand perspectives on local concerns and helped inform the issues and priorities he brings to City Hall.
“As Supervisor, I will continue to channel the voices and values of the Sunset to City Hall and ensure that we are heard,” Wong said.
He added that maintaining direct communication with residents and representing their perspectives in city government would remain central to his work as District 4 supervisor.
