Thanks to the vision and hard work of Dr. Sherin and his team at the Department of Mental Health, LA County is leading the nation in transforming how we understand and treat mental health crises.

Rather than relying on already overburdened and hectic emergency rooms to treat patients, we’re building centers where residents can receive tailored and compassionate mental health care in a calming clinical setting.

In short: less stigma, better care.
