2019 The AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema
The 2019 AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema takes place at Tommy’s Place on USC campus March 30th afternoon with about 200 young professionals from Hollywood and film students all over southern California universities in attendance.
The Translator won Best picture, Pagorn Jungrungruang of The Translator won Best director, Blaine Maye of In Search of Paul won Best leading actor, Fu Xiaoxian of The Intruder won Best leading actress awards.
According to Corey Wang, president of 2019 AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema, this years 1208 all kinds of films poured into the festival.
After every 2 features screenings, the film creation teams shared their experiences with audiences and provide Q&As with audiences,
The AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema is hosted and organized by Annenberg Film Marketing Association (AFMA).
Starting from 2014, it is an annual showcase of new film arts from young talented filmmakers. It also serves as a platform for student filmmakers, industry professionals, and investors to meet and share with each other.
AFMA has successfully launched four film festivals (2014-2017), demonstrating great works from more than 40 young filmmakers. As an annual celebration of the emerging Chinese film talents in North America, our film festivals have been reported by many mainstream televisions, print media and online media.
