FOX EARNS SUPPORT OF CALIFORNIA YOUNG DEMOCRATS IN AD-68 BID

California Young Democrats Endorse Irvine Councilmember Melissa Fox’s Assembly Campaign
IRVINE, CA – In a reflection of her extensive support from young people, today Irvine City Councilwoman Melissa Fox received a critical endorsement from the California Young Democrats. CYD is official youth arm of the California Democratic Party, comprised of people ages 14-35.

In a statement released with the endorsement, CYD President Will Rodriguez-Kennedy remarked:

“The California Young Democrats are excited to endorse Melissa Fox for State Assembly. She has the experience, values, and vision needed to help move California forward, and we are confident that she will be a passionate and effective voice for young people in Sacramento.  Our organization is proud to support her campaign.”

Recently, Fox secured critical support from eligible delegates at the California Democratic Party’s Pre-Endorsement Conference, earning 73% of the vote from the 68th Assembly District Caucus and ensuring that her name will be considered for automatic endorsement at the upcoming CDP Convention.

For the most recent June 30th filing deadline, Fox’s campaign announced that she had outraised her opponent, Steven Choi, more than 2:1, with Fox’s campaign bringing in a significant $174,515, while Choi only raised $77,785.
