ANDY THORBURN BACKED BY CONGRESSWOMAN KATIE PORTER IN SCHOOL BOARD BID

U.S. Representative and Progressive Star Katie Porter Endorses Andy Thorburn for OC Board of Education

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Further cementing his support from educators and prominent local elected officials in the race for Orange County Board of Education District 3, today former classroom teacher Andy Thorburn received a major endorsement from U.S. Representative Katie Porter.

Congresswoman Katie Porter represents California’s 45th Congressional District, which includes Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Laguna Hills, Villa Park, Orange, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Mission Viejo, in addition to parts of Anaheim, Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo. The 45th Congressional District includes District 3 of the Orange County Board of Education.

In a statement released following the announced endorsement, U.S. Representative Katie Porter said:
