FOLEY GAINS ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FROM WORKING FAMILIES IN BID FOR SENATE DISTRICT 37

Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley Endorsed by National Union of Healthcare Workers in Race to Represent Senate District 37
COSTA MESA, CA – Further solidifying herself as the candidate of working families, today Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley earned the endorsement of the National Union of Healthcare Workers in her campaign for State Senate District 37. NUHW  is the nation’s fastest growing healthcare union, representing more than 15,000 members. Mayor Foley joined the employees from Anaheim Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in solidarity at NUHW’s Mental Health Statewide Strike on December 16.
In a statement announcing the endorsement, National Union of Healthcare Workers declared:

Since entering the race for State Senate District 37, Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley has built up a far-reaching coalition of support from local, state and federal leaders, organizations that represent women, healthcare providers, classroom teachers, working families, including the California Labor Federation, the California Young Democrats, Emily’s List and the California Professional Firefighters.
