Monterey Park, CA – Two East Los Angeles College (ELAC) Architecture students, Gustavo Gomez and Stephen Curtis, were awarded a $1,000 scholarship and also a paid internship with Stantec during the Southern California chapter of The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 11. They were selected from a nationwide pool of students and were proud to be chosen. Stantec who is a multi-discipline Engineering and Design Company sponsored the scholarships and give out numerous scholarships every year.
The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) mission is to champion diversity within the design professions by promoting the excellence, community engagement, and professional development of its members. NOMA has partnered with the ELAC Architecture in the past by hosting Architecture Boot Camps on campus.
