South Coast Plaza 2020 Lunar New Year

Celebration of the Year of the Rat with dance, music and art from China, Vietnam and Korea. Dragon and lion dances kick off at South Coast Plaza on Jan 23rd  to welcome in the new year. Decorated with traditional red lattern and 20 giant rats. the South Coast Plaza holds its 10th annual celebration of Lunar New Year for next couple of weeks.

According to Lunar New Year, the rat is the first animal in the 12-year Chinese zodiac, which restarts Saturday (1/25).

Orange County’s most iconic rodents, Mickey and Minnie Mouse with attire designed by renowned Haute Couture designer Guo Pei , brought a whirlwind to South Coast Plaza’s Lunar New Year kickoff event Thursday evening.
