A look at refitted isolation wards in Jinan
The isolation wards at the newly-built complex of No 4 People’s Hospital of Jinan were refitted with a total of 13 quarantine areas on seven floors on Feb 13.
The isolation wards cover a total area of 11,700 square meters and have 186 beds. They are designed for patients experiencing fever and pneumonia symptoms or receiving a nucleic acid test for the coronavirus.
Since the afternoon of Feb 11, more than 40 patients with fever have been admitted.
According to reporters from Jinan Newspapers Group, patients at the wards will receive a nucleic acid test every other day during medical observation.
If a suspected case is identified, he will be immediately transferred to a designated hospital. If the nucleic acid test comes back negative twice in a row, the patient will be transferred to a standard ward for further treatment.
