LA County reports its first coronavirus death

Los Angeles County reported its first death related to the coronavirus outbreak on Wednesday, as health officials announced six additional cases, bringing the county’s total to 27.

A woman over the age of 60 died in the county after contracting COVID-19, health officials said. The woman, who has not been publically identified, was visiting friends in LA County and had underlying health conditions.
