President Donald Trump has walked out of the military hospital
US President Donald Trump has left hospital, three days after being admitted with Covid-19, vowing to be back on the campaign trail soon.
He flew for the short trip back to the White House on the presidential helicopter Marine One.
“Feeling really good!” Mr Trump tweeted earlier. “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.”
Mr. Trump, wearing a surgical mask, walked out the front door of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he has been receiving treatment since Friday evening. He pumped his fist before walking down the stairs and giving a thumbs-up to reporters as he entered a black SUV to take him to the Marine One helicopter, which then made the short trip to the nation’s capital.
Shortly before 7 p.m., Mr. Trump exited Marine One and stood on a White House balcony, removed his mask, flashed two thumbs up and gave a salute. He made no comments.
