NEW OUTDOOR MUSEUM EXHIBIT NOW OPEN AT NIXON LIBRARY:
Library adapts to new Coronavirus restrictions, will remain open outside
In consideration of new state restrictions intended to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Nixon Library is shifting its museum exhibitions outdoors starting today.
A new, permanent outdoor exhibit opens for preview tours today. Nixon Library visitors can preview “The President and the Planet: Richard Nixon and the Environment,” an in-depth look at the historic environmental initiatives of the Nixon years and the continued impact of the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Air Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Endangered Species Act. This exhibit will be officially dedicated on December 3.
Open spaces at the Nixon Library include the Pat Nixon Gardens, the Memorial Site of President and Mrs. Nixon, and the Nixon Library Gift Shop. Guests may also get up close to the Birthplace and boyhood home of President Nixon and the famed Marine One presidential helicopter.
The Nixon Library’s indoor museum galleries, including the well-received special exhibition The Presidents Club: From Adams & Jefferson to Nixon & Trump, are temporarily closed as of today.
Admission tickets will be sold at a reduced rate of $6 each. Annual, dues-paying members of the Richard Nixon Foundation, active military, and children four and under are admitted free of charge.
The Nixon Library is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Holiday shopping is available at the Nixon Library Gift Shop during normal operating hours. Admission tickets are not required to enter the gift shop. In-store pick-up is available at store.nixonfoundation.org or packages may be shipped anywhere in the world.
